Rolex

Rolex; is a brand name of watch, which stands for luxury, more than any other brand. It was founded in 1905 by Hans Wilsdorf in London, where the company traded under the name of Wilsdorf&Davis before it was decided to sell, using the more attractive and better sounding name of Rolex. In 1920 the German owner decided to move the headquarters of his company to Switzerland, where Rolex still trades today as an independent company. Under the name of Montres Rolex S.A. the futuristic businessman set everything on the boom of the wristwatch. He gave himself and his company a head start, especially when it came to the techniques and mechanics of Rolex wrist watches. Hans Wilsdorf is responsible for many pioneer developments in the branch.
